Depression and Homeopathy

The World Health Organisation now estimated that around 350 million people of all ages globally, suffer from depression. It is estimated that by 2020 depression will be the second biggest cause of disability worldwide (1).

Mild depression can go unnoticed, people are able to hide their feelings through their day to day routine. In most severe cases, when someone is diagnosed with depression, they will be prescribed a prescription drug, including the possible side effects that they may experience. This does not take into account the underlying cause of the depression and the possibility of side effects and the dependency some people may experience.

Complementary therapies such as homeopathy, medical herbalism, reflexology, has much more to offer as they treat the whole person. They investigate the whole person and try to understand what the triggers may be. These treatments have a deceased risk of side effects and dependency. Counselling, psychotherapy and aromatherapy massage are great therapies to support the healing process.

If you feel you or someone you know maybe suffering from depression you are advised to seek the help of a trained homeopath, there are a wide variety of remedies available to help alleviate the persons individual symptoms.
