Allergic rhinitis is an allergic reaction that happens when your immune system overreacts to substances that may be airborne. Symptoms are characterized by sneezing, itchy and watery eyes, a runny nose and a burning sensation of the palate and throat.
There are a number of different ways to build up a strong defence against airborne allergens.
Here are a few starting points;
Vitamin C and Zinc – Antioxidant, immune booster it builds up the bodies natural defences to ward off infection and inflammation.
Vitamin E – has immunologic effects and works as an antioxidant to protect membranes for free radical damage. (1)
Omega – 3 – Has anti-inflammatory properties, studies suggest that taken daily it can reduce prevalence of allergic rhinitis. (2)
Quercetin – is a bioflavonoids which is a natural antihistamines and strongly anti-allergenic. It works with the body to decrease the histamine production. (3)
